People becoming Trees
A short distance from my studio the turkish man sells the best mint in the universe. This is true. And on Friday I heard a line from a poem,'..people do not die, they just become trees..' I think I would like to become a tree, for a day . But the thing is not to be bored. Which is why I am somewhat delighted to realise that I do not need to wait till after death to begin my after death vocation, just as I do not need to wait to become a tree.

Today, I want to watch Solaris, again..( I stopped counting years ago) . Now, why do I watch Solaris and Solyaris so often? No idea. But if you ever come to my studio I'll make you mint tea and ask if you would like to watch .....

You are still not willing to say let me develop as I should develop. You are still saying let me develop as I think as I should develop. The I being a highly egotistical I."

'...Well, do you know what I hope for, once I allow myself begin to hope? It is that the family will be for you what nature, the lumps of soil, the grass, the yellow wheat, the peasant, are for me, in other words, that you find in your love for people something not only to work for, but to comfort and restore you when you need ......'
Ever yours, Vincent
