Hi Zuzzie,
Nice to meet you here and when you and your fiance get to Dallas let's get together. I see you've met my son, Chris, over at Petty Productions. We may be able to help with the culture shock coming from Portland can bring. Dallas is an interesting place and just packed full of possibilities. As I posted before, I've been reading Seth since the '70s and think it is fabulous. I have two sons, one who thinks anything that hints at metaphysics is stupid and then Chris who just gets it. When my oldest son was about twelve, he came home from school one day and stated that he didn't believe in God any more, he believed in the big bang that he just learned about in science class. (You'll appreciate that statement when you've had time to observe what it's like to live in the Bible Belt.) In discussing the topic with him and hoping to expand his vision and understanding of things, I asked him if the two couldn't coexist? Was it possible that when God said "Let there be light." he may have caused a big bang versus using a light switch to softly send electricity to a light bulb to illuminate the earth. Little did I know that seven year old Chris was listening in on the conversation. He's always been a cartoonist, so he drew a picture of God dressed in a white choir robe and halo standing on a cloud in the sky. Off to God's right was a light switch on a cloud with an electrical cord running from the switch to the planet earth below. It's fun to see your thoughts in cartoon form.
Good luck with the move, create a good one.
