Hi, Marcia here!
I'm involved in a novel writers competition during this month of November. I'm into my 3rd of 4 weeks. I've written over 30,000 words and 27 chapters so far. And I'm loving both the process of writing every day, and the bold and the brash of my characters. However, my characters are stuck. Anyone care to make some suggestions?
This is the premise of the story:
Four friends - all living their lives in varying stages of spiritual growth, are planning to offer a weekend workshop to teach people how to: recognize limiting beliefs; to step into making choices based on vibrational matches & synchronicities; and to begin to 'see' their reality from the perspective of being a co-creator.
Currently my characters are brainstorming to build the basis of the hands-on aspect of their event. They need to find ways to involve the workshop participants in small group exercises - maybe 3 exercises over the course of the workshop. These exercises are intended to excite and spark many of the participants to move forward with the delights, challenges and persistence that those of you here on this forum (plus Mike and myself, naturally) feel so passionate about.
Personally, my own spiritual journey started over 40 years ago. At that time no one spoke about spiritual journeys. Even thinking such thoughts was considered taboo back then. There was no one to get me started in this fashion - to teach me, if you will. I had to learn on my own. Seth Speaks was my first encounter with the metaphysical. In this book I'm writing, I want to encourage others to step into this life with solid guidance and powerful teachers ready to give of their own life journeys and experiences. So I need some help if you would, please!
Here's what I require:
Do any of you have any direct experience with exercises you tried early on in your spiritual journey that you found useful in increasing your understanding and, hopefully, ignited your passion - be it Seth or Abraham or Tolle or Holmes or whatever? Would you care to share those techniques/exercises knowing that they may get published some day?
Let me say thank you in advance to any and all of you who may respond to this request.
In Light & Laughter,
Marcia
