TOPIC: Neuroscience

Re: Neuroscience 1 year, 5 months ago #5029

Okay, so, I'm back from my course, my head still reeling, and a myriad of material to review, learn and organize.

What was in the back of my mind during my course, thinking about returning here, was just one further note on what I had mentioned about the SAID principle (in the physical: Specific Adaptations to Imposed Demands, aka the body will always adapt to exactly what it does). As we bring forth in to our consciousness especially upon our first encounter with Seth material, most of us process the general message 'we create our reality' with a bit of bumbling about when we think of our negatively perceived experiences ("how could we create something negative?", we ask). Whatever we place our focus on is exactly what our body (aka physical experience) will adapt to (create). No need to debate the type of focus nor the how's of manifestations as that is not the point. The point is we create out of where we focus and direct our attention.

Okay, more later. Have a great day/evening/dreamtime/everything else, Everyone.

Peace

I am not sure what you mean by "we" and "create" and what diseases/disorders are you specifically referring to?

Gene,

Who is your question directed at?

I think we talked about this topic a while back, so my re collection of the context of this topic is not as a great...

How, I have pondered about the phrase and still am "We create our reality" and so far, if placed in a particular context it would definitively make a lot of sense. For instance, when I first began reading a Seth book during my teens, then studying Quaballah, Lucid Dreaming, Silva Mind Control and Spiritual Human Yoga, a healing practice where we heal by using ourselves as a medium for this energy to flow to a particular Chakrah which is out of alliance and crating physical, emotional and spiritual ailments.

I have pondered about what does create my reality really men and then while undergoing training for becoming Master NLP Master Coach/Practioner, reading Ken Wilber "Integral Approach which incorporates (AQAL) All Quadrants All Levels as well Spiral Dynamics... I have discovered, that the phrase "We create our own reality" can be interpreted in a multitude of contexts... For instance, when we talk about reality... what do we mean by it? An example within a marriage... any person, you yelling means you don't care, for the other yelling is expressing frustration which he couldn't do at work.... so technically speaking both individuals are crating realities however they do not match and the meaning for both of them is misinterpreted based on the reality of the individual.

@Gene:
There are also diseases which are independent of one's belief structures.

Your above statement makes me think you may have missed something along the way.

There is nothing independent of your belief structure. Or to quote Seth
There are no other answers, you form your reality.

If you choose to erect fences and say I am here and now then you will be there and then. But the other portions of yourself will go merrily along. Only the small portion of yourself that chooses to hold on to those limiting beliefs will experience the result of those beliefs. For a disease to be independent of your belief structure you would have to hold a belief that allows it to do so. Those kinds of beliefs are called root assumptions and are the hardest to change. Root assumptions are also invisible to us so we see them as reality itself objectified.

But we must not let science sway us into accepting root assumptions upon which it will build its case. Science offers no acceptance of the validity of the soul. Only observation of nature, typically from the point-of-view that the glass is half-empty.

Hi Gene

I think it was in NOPR that Seth said that we all have within us the elements of all viruses etc and will use them as and when we see fit (on some level). He also said that on occasion, usually in times of great fear, we will act like skunks and throw off some of these as a sort of protective measure.

He also said, but I can't remember off-hand where, that our beliefs about reality are just that - beliefs about reality - not reality itself.

This does exactly what it says on the tin...
You create your reality according to your beliefs, and following your beliefs that is how reality 'works'. I create reality according to my beliefs and that is how my reality works. But we are both creating our realities within certain parameters that we agreed to abide by when we came into physical, like the need for oxygen, gravity, etc.

At one time I would have totally agreed with this statement but there are scientists who are now catching up at last.
