Hello all!

Sorry I haven't been around. I just started studying (again! Why do I torture myself so?) and am really busy with assignments, classes and deadlines.

I've also decided to buy a pack of tarot decks in addition to my rune casting practices, to help bring any subconscious knowledge to the forefront. I'm eagerly waiting for my basic tarot course to start (although I hope the guy won't focus on the typical "how to predict your future" thing...).

I remember someone in the forum mentioned using clothes hangers? for dowsing for energy lines or something, and just thought of posting this to share experiences using "divination" tools with regards more to helping with our own knowledge and making it clearer, and all that. And also, if anyone has experiences with using tarot and/or runes specifically, I'd love to hear about them, too.

Take care, all!

Sky

Hi Sky its nice to see you.
Well, i didnt think that i did any sort of divination until i googled the word and saw the hundreds of types of divination that exist. I have a slight interest in astrology, feng shui, and trying to get my pendulum to work. Also every day i would use subjective types of divination like following my gut feelings, seeing the symbolism within events and objects, and noticing those little affirmative signs from ATI that tell me when i am on the right track (like green traffic lights and shooting stars).
Hope the studies go well and love from Cara.

Hi Sky, great to see ya! I don't have much experience in this area, but I have used a pendulum to help answer questions that had. I haven't used one in quite some time tho. I remember that you had expressed an interest in Native American spirituality, and wanted to let you know that there are a tarot-like deck of cards called "medicine cards". If you haven't heard of them, here is a link.

They are beautifully done and carry much wisdom. Love, Cyn

Hello Cara and Cyn! Nice to see you again.

Cara: I've tried pendulums in all their various aspects/sorts, but they've never worked for me. Maybe my own consciousness is as swingy as they are and can't make up its mind on which direction it wants to go. LOL. But because pendulums are used more for yes/no questions, I don't find that it is suitable to my needs - I already know what I want! The cards and runes are just to help me further clarify the patterns in my life which might be hidden from me because the ego gets in the way.

Cyn: Oh, those are beautiful, beautiful wisdom cards. I would buy them if only I hadn't spent $120 on the Shadowscapes tarot, which has a gentle feel to it. It's been helping me quite a bit, and one card (the eight of cups) has been appearing everywhere and almost every time I use the deck. It's probably ATI trying to tell me something I'm really really not seeing. And it frustrates me. Lol.

Hi sky,

A long while ago I used tools. They were fun. Pendulum worked so-so for me. Scrying didn't work at all. My two favorites were the tarot and ouija board. Oh, I did do runes at one point as well, but they were difficult for me to decipher. But, all in all, once I realized everything was within, as it were, they all pretty much did little for me. I still have my cards and boards because they have very pleasant memories, but I don't use them at all. Most of the time the messages were the same, "...the answer is within you".

Peace
