TOPIC: Precognitive Dreams and Manifestations

Precognitive Dreams and Manifestations 1 year, 11 months ago #2794

Hey All!

I have this question. I know Seth has said in NOPR that we are not at the mercy of our dreams and we get to choose what we want manifested. In Seth, Dreams n Projection of Consciousness he said freewill is involved and nothing is predestined. We make the choices.

Lets say I have a dream where its a big no no for me. I dont ever want to see it crossing my path in my waking reality. How do I make it clear to myself that I dont want it happening? How do I make sure I stay clear from it coming into my experience? Do I just tell myself, "Please keep that dream far away from me." to ensure I dont experience it?

Cheers to All

Hi LG! I'm far from an expert on the subject, but if you can become lucid in the dream, you could change it into what you want it to be. Just a thought,

You get what you concentrate on.

In this case, concentrating on avoiding something negative is the same as concentrating on attracting it. If you think about it, this makes sense, since people spend most of their lives worrying about things and the Seth books are largely about learning how to change the way you think.

Best advice is to start thinking about the kinds of dreams you want to have instead of worrying about whether or not you're going to have more bad ones.

You might also want to explore why you feel that you are incapable of handling the particular dream you have in mind. First of all, recognize that your fear of whatever the dream represents is a conscious limitation on your part and that there is, in fact, no reason for you to fear it in the first place. Second, consider why you have chosen that particular fear. A lot of the time, the fears that we have are substitutes for areas of our life that we don't want to take responsibility for. Like many bouts of illness, fear can be used as an excuse to avoid doing something you know you should do.

Truant nailed that one... the best way to keep this 'no no' dream from materializing in your life is to forget about it and think about what you DO want to experience. Simple, right?

Hey Guys n Dolls!

Thanks for all your input. What u all have said does indeed make sense. I have been having good or shall I say better dreams that are more inline with my waking expectations. I asked this question bcos I read this particular part from NOPR and I'm wondering what Seth is trying to say or if I shld take what he says literally.

"Again u work with probabilities and DECIDE which ones will become your physical "true facts" Here u have great freedom both as an individual and as a race. Here each man works out his own destiny, and with the use of this dream information quite CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSES which episodes he will physically materialise and experience. You will accept from your dreams that largely agrees with your waking conscious beliefs. There is interaction as mentioned previously, in which new beliefs are tried out, so to speak. In that regard u are not at the mercy of your dreams in any meaning of the word."

Lets say I have good dreams n bad dreams and all dreams are just reflecting all my probabilities. How do I consciously choose? Do I select like the way I wld say when I walk into a supermarket? Only difference is that my selection is mental.

Hmm, there have been dreams where I forget abt or decided to ignore only to be reminded later on that I had the dream bcos it did manifest in waking reality. So from my experience forgeting abt a no no dream or just focusing on other things ignoring the no no dream is always never a good idea to me at least. I have to kinda tell myself to make sure it doesnt cross my waking path. However there are times I think ( not a hundred percent sure here) that even when I tell myself that nono dream shld never ever show up, I think it might have. I'm assuming here bcos the "concrete" evidence I have to work with seems inconclusive for now. It might have/ might not have manifested.

So I'm kinda wondering here, how do I consciously select and make sure I only experience my selected dreams? I dont like sketchy reality.

Thanks for listening.

Cheers to All
