first off, i always like happy endings. always have, always will. so one way i've looked at it is - jane and rob were 'flawed' people. like us. but isn't it amazing the residue of their 'flawed' life - is the seth material that we so love, and go on and on about.

after reading the personal sessions and some of the deleted sessions books, it's amazing how each page is a roadmap to what i do - in my own 'flawed' way myself. it's like a manual. a freakin' manual. heheheheheheheheheheeeeeee

so maybe they ended up leading their lives like they planned - to leave the manual, with a LOT of examples. so they chose the parents/time/era/location/etc that would set up the early conditions that they would then play out their lives with. in order to express what they wanted to express. would i have wanted to face what they/she did? no. but dang, am i thankful they did it.

and interesting, just thinking about this one - any connection to jane's catholic upbringing and the way she chose to eventually go out as a... martyr? ok, that's a huge stretch but it popped into my mind.

love to all from mongolia!!!!

Hi Cara,

Regarding:
I feel that she had the knowledge and energy to turn it around and dont understand why she didnt ?

I agree that she had the knowledge, but I do not believe she had the energy to turn it around. My belief is partially derived from going through my wife's death process which was very similar to Jane's. I feel that Jane had created many difficult challenges in relating and dealing with others and took other people's attitudes and behaviors personally. She then finally decided that she had fulfilled her primary challenges in this life and presented her death as an open book gift to the world to add to her work of given knowledge.
Peace and Love,
...Jeffrey

I agree with Jeffrey in that many people create difficulties for themselves in relating to other people and use illness as a tool to avoid certain areas of experience. Secondary gain, in other words. I would bet that the 'once a year' normally healthy people get sick has more to do with avoiding something more unpleasant than illness or just needing a break from the daily grind than a failure of belief. On some level you are ok with being ill if it means you can just take a break from whatever else is going on in your life. A sort of 'vacation' for people who can't justify taking a break just for the sake of taking a break. (I know this from personal experience since just about the only time I ever 'take breaks' is when I get ill.)

I sometimes wonder how many people develop an illness when they feel frustrated with their lives and feel like they're not getting anywhere? It's a tempting excuse, since you can justify avoiding those particular challenges and get sympathy at the same time. (Please understand that I don't believe all illness is a desire to avoid responsibility, only that it is a technique some people may employ.)

The flip side of the coin is that you get what you concentrate on: it may be that some people can't shake an illness in spite of their beliefs because they can't stop dwelling on a problem. To 'heal', you need to stop creating the condition. Maybe Jane's illness was too vivid and long-standing and she just couldn't 'shake it'? I've dealt with intrusive thoughts myself, so I know how hard it can be to stop dwelling on a problem.

A round of healthy thoughts for everyone on the forum!

I release all resistance. That which would be negative falls away, and that which would be positive finds its way in.
