Hi !

Having read most of the Seth Books I felt I would need to read them again which I often do in parts. Browsing the internet I came across Mark Allen Frost and Seth Returns. I read the first book on 9/11 which was an easier read. I kept an open mind.

Strangely, I haven't seen any discussion of Mark Allen Frost's books and I wondered what you all thought.

He notes on the Seth Returns website the following. Asking Seth about his 'promise' never to spreak to anyone except Jane. I quote the website ...

"He said that his promise was to not speak through others while Jane was alive."


I am tempted to read the rest of The Seth Returns books. I must say I'm not particularly spiritual just the Information in the original Seth books jumped out and resonated strongly with me and after 'The Ra Material' I was jumping with joy I understood a bigger percentage of it.

Any thoughts or opinions ?

SID ... i have now read (very quickly) the book "9/11" and agree with the various comments you have made.
For those of you who dont know (but are interested) Mark Frost is a hypnotherapist in California who has a patient called Cas who under hypnosis channels a being that calls itself Seth. Mark Frosts book 9/11 is a transcript of some of this material.
Regarding whether or not Seth will speak though anyone but Jane , i see from the website sethapplied.com that this dialogue is in book 9 of the Early Sessions. I do not have this book but found the following passage from Jane in the "Seth Material" (page 118 old early edition)...
" Several people have told me that Seth communicated with them through automatic writing, but Seth denies such contacts, saying that his communications will be limited to his work with me , in order that the integrity of the Seth material be preserved.'

The personality that communicates through Cas does call itself Seth, but then goes on to explain that Seth is a multidimensional entity with many "aspects" to itself. It says that the Seth entity is able to "broadcast" its message through more than one channel and with each "aspect" and each "channel" the messages will sound different. I find this interesting as i realise that i do have in my head a picture of Seth as a kindly, elderly English gentleman.
The Cas-Seth(?) speaks of many things which Jane's Seth does not. Some examples being ..."Dark Forces", "Spiritual Hierarchies" and the evolution of our DNA to 12 strands.
It does not feel like the same Seth at all !!
In the Early Sessions book one, Seth talks about his preferred teaching method and says that he does not approve of using the deep trance state. To me this would include hypnosis. At one point Rob asks Seth what do others on his plane think of his teaching method and Seth says the following ...
"Others are watching. There is some friendly disagreement; we are all here what you would call educators, and I sometimes fear that we become to concerned with methods. I much prefer personally an active, fairly alert personality student rather than a deep trance subject who passively receives and transmits spoon-fed knowledge. I thrive on give and take."
Anyway, i still dont know what to think of this new Seth(?) but believe it is worth a look.

Perhaps we are already in a probability that is one removed from the original probability where Rob and Jane channeled "their" Seth? Are we probable to that which intrigues us? There must be an entire spectrum of Seths out there and as many probable version of ourselves who respond.

I saw a video of a fellow who claimed to be channeling Seth and I know what you mean about it not "feeling" right. I don't have the exact quote but I seem to remember Seth commenting on Jane's ability to be a "clear" channel. That is to say that her distortion of Seth's word were minimal. Perhaps this Cas-Seth simply offers more distortion than Jane did? Her own beliefs are slightly changing the message...?

If we think about what dreams are. And I describe them as the twice distorted messages from the inner self to the ego. The first distortion comes when the inner self has to "convert" inner reality information to fit within the five senses 3D temporal world that the ego inhabits. Thus paradoxical data gets mostly filtered out. So the second distortion comes when our own beliefs interpret the message. So if my inner self sends a message, through the dream corridor to my ego, of standing by a red moonlit lake; very little distortion happens at the first layer. The scene is not paradoxical. So let's make it paradoxical by adding information that I am the lake and the person standing by the lake at the same time. Now let's funnel that through our ego's beliefs and lets also assume I hold a belief that red is the color of all bad things. If the ego were to interpret the dream it might come to the conclusion that bad things are coming to the self. But the intent of the sender, the inner self in this case, might have been to convey a sense of oneness to the ego.

What if the channeling process works similar to the dream process? Instead of the inner self sending messages to the ego via the dream conduit. What if Seth sent messages through such a dream corridor? The message would be filtered by the target ego's beliefs whether the target ego was Jane, Cas or any other probable ego. I think that "feeling" we may be perceiving is our perception of the channeler's distorted beliefs. We sense the distortion in the message compared Jane's delivery.

Spectrum targeting via dream conduit overloading. Ah, I think I like that term.

Very interesting to read both of the last two posts!

Cas only worked on the first book - the other six or seven 'Seth Returns' books Mark channelled himself. The story of how that happened is interesting.

Do you remember someone writing something like 'I don't care if the information comes from a disembowelled body of a rotting goldfish!' It's the content of the information and if it resonates.

There is even on 'Blog talk radio' a Seth returns half hour radio blog - linked from the Seth Returns website. Sometimes the topics were so boring I thought ...you can't make this up!!

I have always struggled to keep in my upper consciousness the idea of probable realities and when I do think about it Allen is right - which probably reality am I of myself? What are the other SIDs in different realities or/and different timelines like? Can I communicate with them as opposed to a counterpart from my higher self?

I think I've reached the limit of my intellect here! In the end I can't reason out a view about Seth Returns. I will read the books and keep an open mind.

The original Seth Material is quite extensive and rich. Most of the new channels have pitched their information at a more digestible level to reach a wider audience.

Sid....That is so weird that the hypnotist (Mark Frost) then became the channel. Does Mark need to have Cas present, and does Mark sing/speak Sumari like Cas ?
Allen ... i thought too that this new material could just be Seth distorted but i am sure that our Seth would have just stopped speaking if that was the case. Though, like you say, the whole subject of probable selves makes it even more complicated.
I actually liked the bit that this Cas-Seth said about our DNA transforming into 12 strands. I think that one day we will be like butterflys and able to transform our bodies at will so that we can levitate, or probability shift, or swim under the water with the dolphins. Yay !!

Hi All !

Cas didn't want to do anymore after the first book on 9/11. She part company
with Mark as she was originally a patient who came to him for hypnosis for past life
stuff. The 12 stands of DNA is now I think a common theme among channels. Even in our current
state the word is there are three strands except one is more 'etheric' - I think that's me saying energy rather than mass and not visible.This is the one involved with our increasing awareness.

I definitely need to read more Mark Fost to make a judgement.I have a new folding bicycle, I going to be a kid riding up and down the seafront. (just thought I would throw that in!)
