I received Sue Watkins' memoir Speaking of Jane Roberts as a Christmas gift. I haven't read much of it so far, but what I have read is interesting. Does anyone else have this book and what do you think of it?

I have Sue's 'Conversations With Seth' books, but I don't have this one yet. Let us know how it goes!

Love,
Mike.

I read it years ago and I absolutely love it and love Sue! I interviewed Sue Watkins for my own web site podcast back in 2005. Her book is filled with great emotional memories and insights about Jane that color in the events of that time from another person's point of view, highly interesting I always thought.

I also recommend if anyone is ever in New Haven, Connecticut, to go read some of the boxes and boxes of unpublished Seth stuff in the Yale archives. I went back in October of 2007 and read some of the papers in those boxes. They are filled to the brim with Jane's handwriting, thousands of Seth sessions I suppose that have never seen the light of day and many other notes and writings. I so wish I could have stayed longer but I live on the Gulf Coast and was only there for 5 days. Sue's book is an emotional touchstone and a must-read for any person interested in the life and work of Jane Roberts and her husband, Robert Butts.

Marlon,

Neat. I'm in Massachusetts and have been through New Haven, CT many times. Never knew these writings resided @ Yale. Now I'm tempted to plan a trip some weekend...

Well the unpublished stuff is there. I don't know if ALL of the materials in their entirety are there. However, they do limit time spent there. And when I was there, a man was talking to someone else and a lady had to come quiet him. It was incredibly rude for him to be doing that I thought when I had traveled so far to read and spent a precious few hours in there.

You go through I guess 2 or 3 points where you give your info and name and get a badge and all that stuff, but it'd have been nice to be able to spend as long as I wanted there. The school itself is quite beautiful.

… Such a shame all that stuff just lies there going to waste, so to speak.
Can’t quite see myself travelling all that way to the other side of the globe to the Yale archives, to read it.
Quite wish someone would take the ‘trouble’ of getting it out there, into the world, for us all to read. Even if just on the www like scribd or something or other … although I’d very much prefer a proper old fashioned book to be honest, something that you can hold, touch, smell and feel …
Well, I guess I should really focus on that wish than, in order for it to become manifest.

Hi and welcome btw, Marlon.
