A couple of questions:
Quite a few times as I have been reading Seth or Jane books I have realized a term is being used that I am unclear about. For example, I can remember encountering the term "counterpart" and not being sure what it was, even though I was reading books in the proper order as far as I knew. (I think I understand that term now...it's just an example and I am not requesting someone post a definition of it.) I realize some Seth concepts are not easily encapsulated in a brief definition, but it would be helpful anyway to see something like that as a starting point. So my fist question us: Has anyone compiled such a glossary and posted it online or otherwise published it? Another question: Has anyone compiled an index of subjects covered in the Seth material, so that if I am interested in a particular subject I can look up passages where it is talked about. Here's an example: Let's say my beloved dog just passed away and I want to see what Seth has to say about animals, pets, dogs, animals in framework 2, or whatever. It would be nice to have an index of such passages in the Seth material. Does any such index exist? Thanks very much, Rich |

Hi Rich:
If you think of time as being linear, then we have 'future' lives and 'past' lives. One of the basic concepts from Seth is that all time is simultaneous. Counterparts then are other aspects of your soul. They are not 'you' as you are not 'them', but you might think of them as other apples hanging on the same tree so to speak. As to references, there are two that immediately come to mind. One is New World View; a mostly archived site right now as the owner Paul Helfrich is working on a book of Seth stuff, but there's a lot of information there if you look for it. The other is Nirvikalpa which also has a lot of information. There are other sites as well, but these would be a good starting point. In all of this, however, remember Seth's own words: “… You are a multidimensional personality. Trust in the miracle of your own being. Make no divisions between the physical and spiritual in your lifetimes, for the spiritual speaks with a physical voice and the corporeal body is the creation of the spirit. “Do not place the words of gurus, ministers, priests, scientists, psychologists, friends – or my words – higher than the feeling of your own being. You can learn much from others, but the deepest knowledge must come from within yourself. Your own consciousness is embarked upon a reality that basically can be experienced by no other, that is unique and untranslatable, with its own meaning following its own paths of becoming. “You share an existence with others who are experiencing their own journeys in their own ways, and you have journeying in common, then. Be kind to yourself and your companions.” ~ The Nature of Personal Reality, session 677. Love, Mike. |
